Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring a Mechanical Engineer at our Fargo, ND plant. In this role, you will play a vital part in improving the performance and reliability of our existing equipment and facility projects. You’ll solve complex issues, propose innovative solutions, and implement upgrades that drive efficiency and productivity across our operations. Your work will directly impact our facility’s functionality, helping us optimize processes and maintain high-quality standards.

Highlights of your role

  • Identify and implement improvements to existing equipment and systems to enhance performance and reliability, while updating documentation and ensuring safety compliance
  • Lead projects focused on problem-solving and optimizing equipment, such as mechanical adjustments and redesigns
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to gather insights, diagnose issues, and determine root causes of equipment challenges
  • Use 3D modeling and prototyping to test proposed changes and validate solutions
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, required
  • Mechanical proficiency and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills: essential for effective collaboration and responding effectively to changing project needs
  • Beneficial: Experience in machine design
  • A commitment to understanding user needs and designing solutions that enhance team performance
