Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring a Mechanical Engineer at our Fargo, ND, plant. In this role, you’ll design and implement improvements to the custom equipment that produces our innovative window frame components. You’ll lead projects that enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency while collaborating with various teams to solve mechanical challenges. Your work will directly impact how we build high-quality products and keep our manufacturing running efficiently.

Highlights of your role

  • Identify and implement improvements to existing equipment and systems to enhance performance, reliability, and safety
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to gather insights, diagnose issues, and determine root causes of equipment challenges
  • Lead projects focused on problem-solving and optimization, including mechanical adjustments and redesigns
  • Design mechanical components, subassemblies, and custom equipment solutions to support improvements across our manufacturing lines
  • Use 3D modeling, prototyping, and hands-on testing to evaluate proposed changes and confirm effectiveness
  • Respond to shifting priorities and equipment failures to help minimize downtime and keep production moving

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, required
  • Mechanical proficiency and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills: essential for effective collaboration and responding effectively to changing project needs
  • Beneficial: Experience in machine design
  • A commitment to understanding user needs and designing solutions that enhance team performance
