Job Overview

Production Night Shift Supervisor

  • Actively develop and manage the culture of your team to align with Marvin Composites’ mission and values, as measured by survey scores, turnover, retention, and other key culture metrics of the position
  • Help create a safe working environment by holding associates accountable for safe behavior and leading by example
  • Accurate reporting and communication throughout the company regarding shift metrics
  • Perform root cause analysis, identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions
  • Ensure information from other functional groups (such as HR and Safety) that impacts associates is communicated timely
  • Lead in the development, training, and mentoring of direct reports. Develop and encourage self sufficiency of associates by teaching them the skills they need to be successful and encouraging continuous improvement
  • Hold associates accountable to performing to the expectations of their position and promptly address deficiencies
  • Utilize labor efficiently to maintain on-time delivery, and MF/MH metrics

 

Highlights of your role

Ensures maximum safety, quality, and productivity during their shift by developing associates and distributing work assignments for maximum effectiveness and productivity.   The key metrics are safety, quality, productivity, turnover and retention.  Facilitates the progression of associates through the Skill Level Development program thereby developing a high-performance culture.  The Shift Supervisor is a leader in the company and must present him/herself as a leader. 

 

Also want to make sure you have

  • Prefer three or more years of effective supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Two year degree preferred.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical ability to find root cause and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
