Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring a Product Development Engineer for our Fargo, ND location. As a Product Development Engineer, you’ll design innovative tooling and product solutions for pultruded and extruded profiles, lead projects, and collaborate with customers to drive new product lines and material advancements. You’ll work hands-on with 3D design software, turning ideas into reality—from optimizing tooling, improving manufacturing processes, bringing in innovative technology, and working with 3D printers.

 

From concept to implementation, you’ll be responsible for your projects, balancing time, budget, and scope while leading improvements that make a real impact on production. If you’re excited to push the boundaries of design and innovation, this is the opportunity for you.

 

Highlights of your role

  • Design & Engineering: Create and refine pultrusion and extrusion tooling, perform engineering analysis, and develop innovative solutions to improve product performance
  • Project Management: Lead projects by managing timelines, budgets, and customer collaboration to deliver successful outcomes
  • New Product Development: Support all stages of product development, from initial design inputs and prototyping to production launch and efficiency improvements
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new tools, materials, and technologies to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customers, production teams, and engineering partners to align designs with business goals and manufacturing capabilities

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • A Bachelor in Engineering is required (Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience with Creo (preferred) or other 3D design software
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to collaborate across teams, lead meetings, and share ideas effectively
  • A self-motivated approach to problem-solving and overcoming challenges
  • The ability to influence and gain support for ideas or solutions
