Experience with machining, plastics, composites, automated equipment, machine setup and changeovers, maintenance, skilled trades, or continuous manufacturing may transfer well to this role. • Night Shift: $32.29/hr

Highlights of your role

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down pultrusion equipment while following established safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Monitor equipment and process conditions, recognize non-conforming product, and make appropriate adjustments within established operating guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process and product-quality issues by evaluating equipment, materials, tooling, production information, and operating conditions.
  • Apply technical knowledge of materials, equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes to support consistent process performance and product quality.
  • Perform required quality checks, accurately document production information, and take appropriate action when results do not meet requirements.
  • Clean, inspect, reassemble, and properly care for production tooling and equipment while supporting continuous improvement and, based on proficiency, developing others.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn complex manufacturing equipment, tooling, materials, and processes.
  • Recognize abnormal operating conditions, evaluate multiple sources of information, and systematically identify appropriate actions.
  • Understand how changes in equipment, materials, tooling, or operating conditions can affect process performance and product quality.

  • Accurately document process information and make sound decisions within established operating parameters.

Also want to make sure you have

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical work, skilled trades, technical production, machine setup, continuous-process manufacturing, or another process-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Experience with automated equipment, machining, plastics, composites, equipment setup or changeovers, maintenance, or similar technically oriented work is helpful.
  • Previous pultrusion experience is not required. Pultrusion-specific knowledge and skills can be developed through training and demonstrated proficiency.
